Responses may include the following:
- The MPAJA (Communists) cooperated with the British against the Japanese and were trained by them.
- The Communists used guerrilla tactics.
- They attacked locals if they cooperated with the Japanese.
- The Communists sabotaged Japanese equipment and carried out ambushes.
